FiP held a SEND Conference for Parent Carers in Worcestershire on 17 March 2023, a mini version of the one we had planned and could not deliver due to the pandemic. This was a free event and was open to both members and non-members of FiP! There were goody bags available to Parent Carers.
It was a great opportunity for families and their SEND children to meet professionals working in Worcestershire who can provide support and meet other parent carers all in one place.
We brought together key speakers and a host of services and information points.
The speakers consisted of:
Melanie Barnett, Director for All Age Disability with Worcestershire Children First
Patsy Holbrook, Key2Confidence
Maya (please see seperate page ‘Maya’s “Join the Dots”‘)
Hannah Jeffrey, Designated Clinical Officer for SEND, NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire
Viv Mclaughlin, Head of Children and Families, Onside Advocacy
Anna Swift, Lead for Children and Young People Neurodivergent Conditions, NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire
Keyworker Practitioners, NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire
The information stands included representatives from:
