The UK government has long term objectives to reform the system supporting children and young people with SEND, but these will take time. The DBV Programme recognises the current challenges faced and will provide valuable, short-term support to Local Authorities (LAs), and the local systems supporting children with SEND. This was presented and discussed at the NNPCF and CONTACT conference in February 2023. See the following link to the local authorities participating in DBV – https://nnpcf.org.uk/2022/10/19/dfe-update-delivering-better-value-for-send-and-safety-valve/
